Sri Lanka may be a small island but it is known as one of the highest rates of biological endemism in the world and is among the top five biodiverse hotspots in the world. Although with less attention, Sri Lanka has one of the richest diversity of amphibians in the world. There are around 106 species and 90 of them are native to Sri Lanka. Sinharaja Forest is one of the best example where you you can spot high levels of amphibians.
