Sri Lanka is the perfect place for beach bums worldwide! with around an amazing 1600 km of palm fringed coastlines surrounding the island. Two monsoons at different times of the year make Sri Lanka a perfect beach holiday all year around. The best time for visiting the south and West is November to March as the sea is calm and warm. East and North will be best visited between April and October.
The favourite Southern beaches are Mirissa, Unawatuna, Tangalle, Beruwala, Galle and Hikkaduwa with high quality accommodation and many more amazing activities. Coral reefs, golden sandy beaches, Whale watching and Turtle farms are just some of the highlights.
In the West Coast Negombo, the closest location to the International Airport and Bentota are popular. Although most tourists have already known and experienced South and West, the East and North are yet to be discovered . The tourists are welcomed to this part of the country and there lots of development taking place. Arugam Bay ( Surfers Paradise) Nilaweli, Pasikudah, Trincomalee are the most popular destinations in the East to visit and the beaches are just breathtakingly beautiful. A must experience!!!
