The North of Sri Lanka is quite different to the rest of the country, having suffered from the civil war the Northern part is just recovering and many developments are taking place. Jaffna is a primary destination in the North and it is a fascinating destination with colourful temples, beaches, great culture and remarkable cuisine. Madhu church is one of the popular pilgrimage places and Vanni is a little less visited but worth seeing. There are a lot more attractions yet to be discovered.
